Kevashan Moodley
Kevashan Moodley is a cinematographer that studies at AFDA Durban and is in his 3rd and finally year of study. He is originally from the city of Pietermaritzburg where he grew up and was schooled. he moved to Durban just under 3 years ago to come and study film at AFDA Durban. Kevashan’s obsession with films and filmmaking started at a very young age, which started with watching films with his sisters every Sunday evening, and making short home videos that went onto him becoming obsessed with how these films were made from the lighting, to the camera movement, camera angles and how these things can manipulate the audience's emotions, causing them to be invested in the world of story and the characters within it.
This obsession caused him to pursue a career in filmmaking and cinematography. Within his years at AFDA he has worked on various films that he is proud of. It had taught him a lot about creative filmmaking and improved his skill in cinematography.
